Hobson’s Choice

The original, uproarious, Northern comedy rebooted to 1966.

A father. Three daughters. And the swinging sixties reach Salford.

On behalf of the director and I, we would like to invite you to join us on an early morning in Salford during the hustle and bustle of rush hour.  Our scene is set at the opening of a renowned shoe shop, proprietor Mr Henry Horatio Hobson – a proud man, not shy of a tipple and the voicing of opinion.

All is not as it seems, however, as the real powerhouse behind the shop’s success is his three daughters, Maggie, Alice and Vickey.  Maggie, in particular, has plans… and there is nothing so dangerous than a woman with a mission in mind.

Watch then as the three uppish girls confound and befuddle their overbearing father, drag their respective, and occasionally bewildered, gentlemen along for the ride, and bring this hilarious love story to life.

Hobson’s Choice will be performed from the 16th to the 18th of May at 7.30pm with a 2.30pm Saturday Matinee at The Tower Theatre, Folkestone.

So come along, shoehorn yourself into a seat, lace yourself with a beverage, put your feet up and let this wonderful comedy make a lasting impression on you.
