Help keep your local theatre alive
The Tower Theatre is more than a building. It is a Grade II-listed local treasure at the heart of Folkestone’s cultural life — a home for storytellers, performers, and audiences who believe in the power of live theatre. For generations, these walls have echoed with applause, laughter, and the quiet magic that only happens when people come together in the dark to share something real.
But right now, we need your help.
Why we need your support
Unlike many arts organisations, The Tower Theatre receives no Government funding. Not a penny. Every repair to our historic fabric, every upgrade to our equipment, and every light that shines on our stage exists because of the people who love this place.
Ticket sales and box office income help us keep the doors open — but in the current climate, with costs rising and audiences rebuilding, they are not enough on their own. Theatres across the country are facing the same struggle. We are determined not to become a casualty of it.
What your donation makes possible
Every donation, however large or small, makes a tangible difference:
£5 helps light the stage for a single performance.
£15 supports a rehearsal — giving our volunteer cast and crew the space and time to create.
£30 keeps a production running, covering the everyday costs that audiences never see.
£75 goes directly towards preserving our Grade II-listed building for future generations.
Beyond that, you become a patron of something rare: a community theatre that has survived for decades on passion, dedication, and the belief that art belongs to everyone.
