WORLD JAZZ LIVE SESSIONS AT THE TOWER – Hosted by Maiuko

Led by bassist and composer Alison Rayner, multi award-winning quintet ARQ are widely celebrated from several years of extensive UK and European touring and critically acclaimed for their album releases ‘August’ (2014) and ‘A Magic Life’ (2016), resulting in the band winning both the Parliamentary Jazz Awards and British Jazz Awards in 2018.

Richard is Guyanese born, raised in Northern Saskatchewan and is now living in Kent UK. He the world for over twenty years as a session musician and later, as Musical Director. He has worked with artists including Allsaints, Sugababes, Cathy Dennis, ShaniaTwain, Shakespear Sister and Nathan ‘Flute Box’ Lee and The Artists in Residence Programme at The Royal Festival Hall in London. Richard also composes neo-classical, ambient music through The Orchard (Sony).

Among other works he wrote the film score for ‘The Protagonist’ starring Tilda Swinton screened at The Cannes Film Festival and remixed for Lady Ga Ga.
